"On Saturday, the 16th Feb 2013, my daughter organised with me to pick up some pre-ordered furniture from your warehouse on Beaudesert Rd. This furniture was fully paid for in advance, and all that remained for me to do was turn up and cart it away. When my wife and I arrived, we were met by a chap called Selau.
He politely dealt with us in a very professional and caring manner by initially showing us the furniture items, before proceeding to assist us to pack it onto my small trailer and in the back of my Landcruiser. Not only was he the brains and the brawn behind the packing but he went to great lengths to ensure it was packed in the best possible way, even to the point of removing items that had already been packed in the car or trailer so that they could be repacked in a better position, optimising the available space.
We came prepared with doonas, towels and a little cardboard but Selau was almost engineer like in his approach. He provided voluminous extra amounts of cardboard and even some rectangular prisms of polystyrene to support some items that would have otherwise been unbalanced. He meticulously ensured that if there was any possibility that a finished surface would be exposed to scratching or rubbing, he would remove it and pack it differently. AND ALL THIS HAPPENED BEFORE WE INFORMED HIM THAT WE HAD TO DRIVE IT 200 KILOMETRES TO KINGAROY.
When we finally had fitted it all in (a queen sized bed, two bedside tables, a tallboy, desk and an office chair), he even wrapped some cling wrap around part of the load to minimise the effects of fairly heavy rain that was coming down.
Ultimately, to make a long story a bit shorter, everything got to Kingaroy in pristine condition, but it simply would not have turned out so well without his ample assistance.
