Eureka News

One of Australia’s sweethearts and gold medalists, Olympic swimming champion, Giaan Rooney has proudly joined the Eureka Street team as spokesperson for the Queensland owned business.

Quote from Giann:
"I love Eureka Street’s stunning choice furniture ranges and quality lounges. The rustic charm of their timber furniture really does make a house a home. I have always been impressed by the quality of their furniture and the competiveness of their prices. I am a big Greeny so I also really like that Eureka stocks the largest range of recycled timber furniture in Queensland. I only put my name to brands I believe in and that’s why I am so happy to be a spokesperson for Eureka. Eureka is a wholly owned family business and that is reflected in the great customer service that is given in every one of their showrooms. Their experienced, warm and friendly staff are there to help customers every step of the way when making choices about their purchases. I’m glad to say that Eureka Street is the street that I come home to."

Welcome Giaan!!

Eureka Street Furniture is celebrating 25 years in the Australian furniture industry. From humble beginnings on the 1st of June 1986, Natan and Gillian Brisblat have grown the company from a small shop in Kelvin Grove to 16 showrooms throughout Queensland and northern New South Wales. This firm, originally a husband and wife operation, now employs over 80 Queenslanders becoming a name synonymous with quality furniture throughout Australia. Natan and Gillian Brisblat’s three children Daniel, Joel and Leora have followed in their parent’s footsteps, all now playing integral roles in the running of the company. Joel Brisblat who is Executive Officer at Eureka commented, “Daniel, Leora and myself are so proud of what our parents have achieved, this really is a historic occasion.” Eureka Street Furniture was the first furniture retailer in Brisbane to care for the environment by making wooden furniture from timber recovered from demolition sites, many well known, like the Coca-Cola factory in James Street, Brett’s Wharves and the Roma Street Rail Yards. The retailer remains 100% Queensland family owned and operated with Daniel Brisblat Sales Manager expressing, “We look forward to continue to make houses home for the next 25 years.” Eureka has expanded to a huge furniture range of modern and contemporary wooden designs in Victorian Ash, Oak, European Beech and Australian Blackwood as well as leather and fabric lounges.

Queensland family owned and operated furniture retailer, Eureka Street Furniture, announced today that it has donated $20 000 to the Premier’s Disaster Relief Appeal with further donations to follow. The retailer is also an authorised promoter to collect on behalf of the appeal and will be doing so at all of its 15 showrooms across Queensland and Northern New South Wales. Eureka Street Furniture’s spokeswoman and Olympic gold medallist Giaan Rooney further announced that a percentage of all profits generated from sales in the coming weeks will be donated to the appeal. Giaan Rooney expressed that, “Eureka Street Furniture has been a part of Queensland homes for the last 24 years and seeing the devastation caused by recent floods and the effect on which it has had on Queensland families is absolutely heart wrenching.”

Sales and Marketing at Eureka, Daniel Brisblat explained that, “Donating is a small way in which Eureka can give back to the communities of Queensland who have supported us for the last 24 years.” “Our heartfelt thoughts are with all those who have been affected by this terrible disaster.” Eureka is also putting together a special offer for flood affected victims that includes take home lay- by and larger discounts for households affected by flood water.
